Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Training, Coaching, and Implementation
- The Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Training course requires 2 weeks of training.
- We recommend that projects and teams be selected prior to beginning the training.
- The Black Belt candidates will need 2 to 3 weeks to work on their projects after the first week of training before taking the second week of the course.
- The second week covers additional topics for the Analyze, Improve, and Control phases of DMAIC.
- A key feature in the first week is QFD use in the Define and the Analyze phases of DMAIC.
- During the second week we cover additional topics for Improve and Control, Lean Enterprise, Kaizen Events, and DFSS.
- The final day of the course is devoted to a supply chain optimization simulation where the students will complete a Lean Six Sigma project in one day.
- Projects can generally be completed within 12 to 16 weeks with teams dedicating 20% of their time per week to the project.
- Upon project completion of their second project students are eligible for Black Belt Certification from Missouri State University's Management Development Institute.
- We recommend 1 week per month of coaching and facilitation over the 4 month period.
- The course pre-requisite is Green Belt training.
- Class size can be up to 25 students and as always, we don't charge a per student fee.
