Supply Chain Quality Management System

Project Description

This project followed the Process Design for Six Sigma process to develop a Quality Management System that would support the global supply chains of 4 business units. When the project started each business unit managed their own supply chain independently.

Problem Statement

Business units were experiencing supplier quality and delivery issues. There was no common system in place to manage, monitor, and improve global supplier quality and delivery performance.

Goals and Objectives

  • Assure supplier quality through adherence to industry codes, standards, and specifications.
  • Develop supplier metrics and a dashboard tracking system.
  • Develop and execute supplier quality plans aligned with business and customer requirements.
  • Develop an auditing process to certify supplier conformance of goods, services, and delivery performance
  • Define the global organization structure to administer the quality management system
  • Define and develop the roles, responsibilities, processes, procedures, and supporting IT systems to execute the Global Supplier Quality Management System.
